Inside a Mormon Temple Video

This video is a picture tour of the inside and outside of the Nuku'alofa Tonga Temple. The video shows:

1. The reception area
2. The foyer
3. The baptismal font
4. The bride's room
5. The marriage sealing room
6. The chapel waiting area
7. The endowment room
8. The celestial room

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attend the temple to learn more about Heavenly Father's plan and to perform certain ordinances. For example, couples can be married in the temple. Latter-day Saints believe that this marriage can last for time and all eternity, and not just "till death".

After the construction of a new temple is finished, the temple is open to the public for a few weeks when everyone is welcome to come and tour the newly completed temple. During this temple open house, a guide walks the group through the temple, explaining the different rooms of the temple and the Mormon beliefs and purposes of a temple. The open house is typically discussed in the news--if you hear of one near you, I would encourage you to visit during the period of the open house to see the beauty of the temple and to learn more about its purpose.
